Making a Spiral Candle

Here are the some steps to follow while making spiral candles.

1. Dip the template in white wax for two seconds. Hang it up to cool. Repeat the process to build up three layers, then over dip it three times in colored wax. When the final layer has cooled, cut around the template with a craft knife.

2. Peel the sheets from both sides of the template. Take care not to damage the wax surfaces.

3. Cut one of the sheets into two triangles, and warm the wax surface with a hairdryer.

4. Cut a wick 20mm (3Ain) longer than the side of the triangle. Lay it along the edge of the wax and fold the wax over the wick.

5. Roll the wax triangle into a fairly tight conical tube.

6. Flair out the exposed white edge with your fingers and smooth it into a spiral fin. Finish the candle by flattening the base with a warmed iron.
